Sign to Speak out at TPP consulations

In just a few short days, the Parliamentary Trade Committee will be in the Maritimes holding TPP consultations — and they want to hear from you.

This is a big opportunity. The Committee has been tasked with finding out “whether or not joining the TPP is in the best interests of Canadians” – and to answer that question they’re on a cross-country tour to hear from the public.

Once the Committee tour is over, they’ll be producing a report in Parliament that could recommend government action on the TPP, including if it should support or reject the deal.

The math is simple: if one of us speak out at the consultation, it might not make a difference. But if thousands of us come together, we can make it impossible for them to say the public supports this deal.

Will you RSVP to speak out against the TPP at the public hearing in your city?

If you’ve never done anything like this before — that’s no problem! After you RSVP, we’ll send you a support kit with details on how the process will unfold, and information to help you prepare. But really, you can say as much or as little as you like, even “I don’t want the government to ratify the TPP”.

Please RSVP by filling in your details to let us know if you’ll be attending.
