Canada’s richest CEOs saw their annual salaries shoot up by almost 25 per cent to over $9 million last year. [1] While the wealthiest are buying super yachts, everyday Canadians are being forced to decide whether to pay bills or put food on the table, as we struggle with the raging cost of living. [2,3]
It doesn’t have to be this way.
Right now, MPs are back in their home ridings for the summer, including Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland.
Freeland is in charge of Canada’s budget and taxes. We know she cares about her public image and we know she wants to maintain the support of her local constituents.
If we raise $778 TODAY, we can blanket her riding with hard-hitting flyers calling on her to tax the super-rich to make life more affordable for the rest of us.
We’ll target gas stations and grocery stores to reach people where they’re feeling the pinch most.
Not only will she hear from her own struggling constituents, but we’ll also deliver the flyer right to Minister Freeland’s office — so she’s sure to know that her reputation with voters in her riding is at stake.
If we want to get your flyers delivered as soon as possible, we need to raise enough by Monday so we can finalize the design, send it to the printers, and hire people to deliver thousands of flyers.
