RBC talks a big game about their climate record. But in reality, RBC is Canada’s biggest financier of fossil fuels. Since 2015 they’ve invested a mind-boggling $208 billion in dirty oil, gas, and coal. [1]

On April 7, RBC is holding their Annual General Meeting (AGM)—where RBC’s shareholders and top brass gather to make key decisions about the coming year. [2] You can bet they’ll be wary about any negative attention in the run-up  that might show that their shady climate leadership is costing them their reputation.

Imagine you’re an RBC board member on your way to the AGM in downtown Toronto. You check the news on your phone, and see an ad calling out RBC for bankrolling climate destruction—and know that current and potential customers are seeing it too. As you walk into the AGM,  you see a huge digital sign calling RBC to quit the greenwashing.

We’ve got plans for a big ad campaign to make sure RBC executives and shareholders get our message that continuing on this climate-destroying path will cost them their reputation and bottom line. But we need to raise $10,382 by next Tuesday to hit go.
