A powerful wave of grassroots protests is spreading like wildfire across Canada. [1]

People from coast to coast to coast are rising up to stand behind the Wet’suwet’en defending their lands from Coastal Gaslink’s fracked gas pipeline. [2][3]

But the federal government has been deafeningly silent, despite repeated calls for the immediate removal of the RCMP and nation to nation talks with Wet’suwet’en hereditary chiefs.

Trudeau’s Liberals have avoided almost any public scrutiny on the massive mishandling of the situation -- and it’s time to shine a spotlight on their lack of accountability.

A flood of phone calls could show the federal government that thousands of us are watching. It could force them to break their silence and act on their commitment to reconciliation. Will you call a federal cabinet minister right now to demand an immediate removal of the RCMP and engage in nation-to-nation talks now?

Our tool will transfer you to a Federal Minister's office to leave a message with their staff or voicemail. Make sure you enter your information (including your phone number) on this page, and we'll call you back and connect you to the Minister.

You can use the following talking points while on the call:
  • I’m horrified that heavily-armed RCMP officers forcibly removed Wet'suwet'en people from their own territory in order to ram through a pipeline they oppose
  • Your government has made huge commitments on reconciliation and the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP) The silence and inaction makes it seem like these are empty promises
  • All five Clans of the Wet’suwet’en have rejected the Coastal GasLink pipeline and it does not have free, prior, and informed consent.
  • As a federal cabinet minister, I’m calling on you to remove the RCMP from sovereign Indigenous territory and engage in nation-to-nation talks with the hereditary chiefs -- it’s the only pathway towards a resolution.
